Fruits Basket follows the life of high-school student Tohru Honda, who was recently orphaned when her mother, Kyoko Honda, died in a car accident. After that, Tohru lived with her grandfather, but when his house needs remodeling, Tohru resorts to living in a tent in a forest and holds down a job to support herself. Despite suffering many hardships, Tohru remains optimistic.

One day, Tohru comes upon a house in the forest that is the home of her classmate Yuki Sohma and his older relative Shigure Sohma. When the Sohmas discover that Tohru is living in a tent, they are quite surprised by her inner strength. The entire area is Sohma property, and Tohru asks to be allowed to stay in her tent (affectionately dubbed "her castle"). Feeling sorry for her and desperate to end their bachelor days of filthy living conditions, the Sohmas offer her their spare room in exchange for cooking and housework. After a landslide buries her tent, including her mother's picture and school clothes, she has no option but to accept. Soon after she moves in, Kyo Sohma comes to challenge Yuki.

Tohru soon discovers the Sohma family's secret, and the reason why Yuki is so private and secretive at school: thirteen members of the family are possessed by the 12 animal spirits of the Chinese Zodiac (jyūnishi in Japanese) plus the spirit of the cat who was, according to legend, left out of the Zodiac. They transform into animals when hugged by the opposite sex or when put under a great deal of emotional or physical stress (such as being sick). When she promises to keep their secret, the Sohmas allow Tohru to keep her memories rather than hypnotically erasing them, a fate that had previously befallen anyone not "Inside" the Sohma family who had discovered the secret.

The story follows the lives of Tohru and the Sohma family, as they deal with each other and a society where neither quite fits in, as well as the feared Akito Sohma, head of the Sohma family. Soon, after living with the Sohma family she began to like, then love, all of the Sohmas, and sets out to break the zodiac curse.[Wikipedia]

The story begins when a pair of high school students (Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato) are seemingly run over by a subway train, after saving the life of a homeless drunk who had fallen onto the tracks. Following their untimely deaths, Kei and Masaru find themselves transported — alive and well — along with a number of people who have also just died, to the interior of an unfurnished Tokyo condominium from which the Tokyo Tower may be seen - and none of them are able to leave. At one end of the room is a featureless black sphere we later learn is called "Gantz". After a short amount of time, a postwar Japanese exercise radio begins to play from the sphere. By way of green text that appears on the surface of the sphere, Gantz informs those present that their lives have ended. The following words appear on the black sphere's surface: "Your lives have ended. What you do with your new lives is entirely up to me. That's the theory, anyway." (The ADV translations have it as "Your lives are over, you bastards. What you do with your new lives is entirely up to me. So there you have it.") The sphere then opens up to reveal suits that, when worn, amplify the user's attributes, such as strength, speed and agility. Along with the suits are various high-tech weapons with different uses for different situations. Next, information on the Gantz Targets appear on the surface of the sphere, shortly before the Gantz Team are transported to the location of the mission.

Much is still left unknown about the room. Its door will only open after the mission has ended. According to the manga, there are reports of similar rooms in Germany, United States and Israel. The appearance of another Japanese team set in Osaka indicates that there is more than one of these in Japan.

In addition to the weapons, suits, and scanners, Gantz holds what appears to be a muscle-bound bald man on life support in the center of the ball. The true identity and purpose of this man is never revealed; but there has been no small amount of implication that he is in some way responsible for the running of the game, selecting players, scoring the individual players' performance, and monitoring the team both during missions and during the 'off hours' in between.

The story opens with the sudden appearance of Rukia Kuchiki in Ichigo Kurosaki's bedroom. She is surprised at his ability to see her, but their resulting conversation is interrupted by the appearance of a "hollow", an evil spirit. After Rukia is severely wounded while trying to protect Ichigo, she intends to transfer half her powers to Ichigo, hoping to give him the opportunity to face the hollow on equal footing. Ichigo unintentionally absorbs almost all her powers instead, allowing him to defeat the hollow with ease.

The next day, Rukia appears in Ichigo's classroom as a transfer student. Much to his surprise, she appears to be a normal human. She theorizes that it was the unusual strength of Ichigo's spirit that caused him to absorb almost all her powers, thus leaving her stranded in the human world. Rukia has transferred herself into a gigai — an artificial human body — while waiting to recover her abilities. In the meantime, Ichigo must take over her job as a Soul Reaper, battling hollows and guiding lost souls to Soul Society.
CDs

Eight CD soundtracks, produced by Shirō Sagisu, have been released for the Bleach anime series and movies. Bleach Original Soundtrack 1 was released on May 18, 2005 and contains twenty-five tracks including the first opening and ending themes, in their original television lengths. Bleach Original Soundtrack 2 followed on August 2, 2006 with an additional twenty-three instrumental tracks. On December 16, 2006, Bleach: Memories of Nobody Original Soundtrack was released with twenty-five tracks from the Bleach: Memories of Nobody anime film. A soundtrack was also released for the Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion film, with nearly thirty tracks from the movie. Bleach: The Best contains twelve of the opening and ending themes from the series, in their full length versions.

An eighteen volume CD set, The Bleach Beat Collections were released from June 22, 2005 through March 5, 2008. These albums feature recordings by the original Japanese voice actors that provide a look at both the personalities of the characters they play, but also of the voice actors themselves.

Two "Radio DJCD Bleach 'B' Station" CD season sets, each containing six volumes, have also been released in Japan as well. This is a list of episodes of the anime series Naruto: Shippūden. The Straw Hat Pirates (麦わら海賊団, Mugiwara Kaizoku-dan?), sometimes referred to as the Luffy Pirates (ルフィ海賊団, Rufi Kaizoku-dan?) or the Straw Hat Crew (麦わらの一味, Mugiwara no Ichimi?), are the main focus and protagonists of the manga and anime series One Piece, by Eiichiro Oda.

About them:
All current Straw Hat members have at least one talent in which they are virtually perfect, and several (especially the captain, swordsman, shipwright and cook) have astonishingly inhuman strength. As outlaws, they all have bounties on their heads, and are wanted by the World Government. The World Government and the Navy consider them one of the most dangerous pirate crews in the One Piece world, due to their spectacular evasion of the supposedly unavoidable Buster Call on Enies Lobby.

Each member of the Straw Hats has a dream they want to achieve. These dreams are their reasons for joining Luffy's crew, and essentially the driving force behind their lives. Each Straw Hat's dream was inspired by tragedies in their lives that involved at least one person they idolized or cared for deeply. Whatever the reason, each of the Straw Hats' dreams involves traveling the Grand Line, and each Straw Hat member refuses to die before achieving his or her dream.

Each member of the crew value their friendships above all else. Despite their comic annoyance with each other from time to time, they also often enjoy their time together and love being a member of the crew. One of the major themes of the series is how committed they are to each other. If one single member is hurt by an outside force, the other members will become enraged and take drastic action to avenge their brethren.

One of the best examples of this can be seen in the Alabasta arc when Chopper asks Zoro on why did Zoro join the crew (Episode 103). Zoro replies that even though it is about their own dreams, that there is something more that they are all striving to achieve.

All the current Straw Hats have bounties over their heads with a total bounty of "700,000,050" Belli[1].

Folder 5 (also spelled Folder5) (フォルダファイヴ Forudafaivu) was a five-girl J-pop idol group on the avex trax label. The group was known for singing Eurobeat-style music.

History:
Folder 5 was a spinoff group from another J-pop group, Folder, also signed to avex. Along with the five girls, Folder also had two boy members, Daichi and Joe. When Daichi and Joe left the group due to puberty, Folder became Folder 5. In 2000 they released their first single, "Supergirl". Their third single, "Believe", was used as the second opening theme for the popular anime One Piece. They also made frequent appearances on the show Yoru mo Hippare. After the release of their 8th single, "MY MIRACLE," in May 2002, they have, as of 2005, released no more singles. Furthermore, their final album to date was a best album. Lovely Complex

Complex Lovely is a romantic comedy about a young man named Atsushi Otani and a young woman named Risa Koizumi. The young man is well below the average height for a Japanese male at 156 cm (5’1”). The young woman is well above average for a Japanese female at 172 cm (5’7”). The story revolves around their love-hate relationship during their high school careers and the conflict revolving around the obvious height difference between them. When they first enter the classroom their comical exchange of words causes the teacher to label them “All Hanshin Kyojin” after a popular comedy duo with the same height difference. Over time, their conflict becomes cooperative as they attempt to help each other find a date. By this they get to know each other better and their friendship begins to blossom into something more complicated.

This particular was a bit confusing at first with all the references and the style of anime, but over time it became much clearer. When I first watched it, I found it to be a bit annoying and confusing at times. After the second episode though, references became much more clear. The dynamic nature of the characters promoted an entertaining exchange of words. The other characters in the story are also dynamic with unique personalities that contribute to the overall plot. Most of the high school kids at school are also in relationships which highlight the main characters predicament further. The anime in general is rather hyper, not to the extent of FLCL, but certainly not in the style of the anime dramas like Trinity Blood. Overall though, I found it an enjoyable anime presented in a unique and yet not overwhelming style.

When a human is marked to die, a faint gray line that is invisible to most appears around their neck. As time passes, that ring becomes darker and darker, until it is eventually black, and that person dies.Kita Michiru is a girl that possesses the unusual power shinigami eyes(it allows the user to see these lines)When she notices that two of her classmates Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito not only have rings, but that they're jet black, they reveal to her that they are infact zombies who where supposed to die in an accident, but where saved by zombie loan office ofcourse there was a catch they had to repay there debt by hunting zombies.Upon finding out about kita`s powers they enlist her to join them to make there job of hunting zombie easier.

What drew me to this anime was the fact that it was a zombie anime I mean you dont see an anime with zombies too often usualy its just demons and vampires.the zombies arnt the typical zombies you see in movies they are quite intelligent and capable and arnt rotting corpses which puts some originality to this anime.

Well, lets start with the characters Kita Michiru is a girl who has the gift of shinigami eyes, but starts to hate it when she sees black rings on her parents when they die using glasses to negate the effect of the shinigami eyes. she has no goals or any aspirations and does not even care if she dies.Kita usualy has a hard time speaking her mind and always does what people tell her to do no question, which leads to chika to nickname her a "gopher".Chika and Shito are the zombies who work to repay there debt to zombie loan office(some sort of office that leases life instead of money)which saved them from a tragic accident that happened prior to the series.Chika is lively and out-going, but can has a short temper he wields a katana that he uses to guide souls to heaven. Shito is the more calm and strategic one while chika is brash and impulsive although Shito can be cold at quite times. Along the way we meet somemore wacky and weird characters in this 11 episode anime although most of them are quite forgettable. The art in this anime is excellent and stylish while the animation is pretty bad and dont even get me started on the opening theme, which is the worst opening theme I have heard, of course the horrible vocals dont help.One of the bad things about this anime is that its way too short, I red somewhere that the manga had 9 volumes, they could have made at least 26 episodes from that.
I GIVE THIS ANIME A 7/10 its pretty good, but i wish it was longer.

Kazuki Mouto suddenly woke up from a horrible nightmare. He had dreamt that he saw a cobra-like monster about to impale an unaware, innocent-looking schoolgirl with its tail. Upon instinct he pushed the girl out of the way only to get impaled though the heart himself.

He goes to school like any normal day but one of his teachers demands he stay after school and remove weeds for a seemingly meaningless reason. The day passes by and Kazuki pulls the weeds but when he meets up with his teacher, he suddenly realizes that his nightmare wasn’t all that unreal. The teacher transforms into the cobra monster he saw in his dream and starts to chase him, desiring human flesh and something else. Thinking it can’t get worse, Kazuki suddenly sees his sister, Mahiro, and in desperation tells her to run. The monster suddenly appears from under her and eats her whole. All appears lost for Kazuki until the “innocent” schoolgirl appears with attached spider-like limbs fixed with blades that she can control at will. To Kazuki’s relief, she slashes the beast to bits and saves Mahiro. When the debris clears, the girl introduces herself as Tokiko.

She is an alchemic warrior, a user of one of many Kakuganes, stones that possess various offensive and defensive capabilities used by a force known as the Arms Alchemy against one enemy: the homunculi. The homunculi are monsters that don’t have many other purposes in life than to live off of human flesh. Of course there are more intelligent homunculi with more specific and nefarious plans for the human world. Tokiko explains to Kazuki that after he was impaled to death, she used a Kakugane to give him new life and use it as a replacement heart, but with it, he also holds the power to fight. Whether Kazuki fights for good with the Arms Alchemy to save humans from the homunculi or not is up to him.

Who am I kidding, of course he decides to fight. Busou Renkin is the stereotypical shounen anime. Kid fighting for good (but surprisingly unwavering beliefs this time) gets powers, gets more power, fights monsters, wins (for the sake of spoilers let’s say to an extent), and the day is saved. Sound like Bleach or Elemental Gelade anyone? And yes, unfortunately, the annoying move shouting is used (a la HADOKEN or FLAMING SPAM ATTACK). The Japanese kids need to shout out something else besides WOOSH and BOOOHHHKKKK when playing with their action figures I guess. Superficial judgment aside, Busou Renkin’s premise is plausible albeit hackneyed. Naturally, it does have the good sides of the average shounen. The humor in it is pretty hilarious. Tense situations are really…never tense in Busou Renkin, although the humor doesn’t compromise the drama or action inappropriately. The action is well animated and entertaining to watch although some of the Kakugane transformations are really goofy-looking. The mystery behind alchemy and the Kakugane themselves is also exposed gradually as the series progresses in a way that complements the episodic battles and dilemmas to the fullest…that is until the last few episodes. I won’t spoil anything, but towards the end of the series, Busou Renkin loses control of its plot pacing and seems to rush everything. Hopefully, you will have been entertained enough by the previous episodes to be compelled to ignore this flaw. And oh yeah, there’s romance. It may or may not be between the two you think it will be between just so you’re left in the dark. Overall, I liked Busou Renkin. I’ve dragged myself through horrible series like Maburaho, so it’s obvious that I have a high tolerance level, but honestly, I was entertained. I think this is definitely something to look into.

Trinity Blood

Trinity Blood is an excellent anime that balances graphic content with an intriguing story. The story begins in a post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by a war between two species, the humans and Methuselahs. There is a third species called the Crusniks who have a special ability, which you will find in the first episode. The Methuselahs and Crusniks are genetically modified humans made from alien nanomachines that give them different abilities. The story begins 900 years after this apocalyptic war between Humans and Methuselahs. The Humans and the Methuselahs have established two powerful governments after the apocalyptic war. The Roman Catholic Church and the Pope in Rome run the dominant human government. The Methuselah's government is based in Constantinople (Istanbul) and is ruled by an Emperor.

Trinity Blood does contain some blood and would not be appropriate for young children. Not to the extent of most favorites like Elfen Lied, but certainly enough to frighten the more impressionable youth. Trinity Blood is also a fairly recent anime so the animation is much more developed, which helps clarify the story. The characters are dynamic and the progression of the plot is fluid. The anime is 24 episodes, which is its only weakness. It seems a bit incomplete and some of the plot could be explored in further detail, but overall, the anime is definitely worth watching.

Ok, in this review I'm gonna talk about one of my favourite harem anime rosario + vampire!

Aono Tsukune is a normal guy with mediocre grades, and a cowardly demeanor. Not surprisingly, these characteristics lands him in a bind where he can’t get into any high school, mainly due to his lack of suitable grades. But all of this changes when he gets accepted into a mysterious school, which he soon finds out is a school for monsters who are disguised as humans.

aono has to try and survive in this school of monsters,while keeping his grades high enough and fending off the girls that are attracted to him.

Now on to the review. the animators did a great job of drawing the very beautiful girls and cute guys as well as the fan service(although the panty shots could seem annoying at times). The fighting scenes where average and involved a transformation sequence that appeared in every fight scene(which i thought was quite repetitive).the comedy was the comedy you see in all harem animes(mostly slapstick with a few sex jokes thrown in)over all though this anime was funny and light hearted. the music opening and ending themes where really awesome as well as the videos that accompanied them.

Well,i defiantly recommend this anime because it is a fast paced anime with like able characters and awesome opening and ending themes as well as some nice comedy and action scenes.
I give this anime an 9/10!

Wolf's Rain

Wolf's Rain is an adventure, post-apocalyptic and supernatural anime. When I came across this anime I was not expecting much out of it. To my surprise I found myself loving this anime. It has a lot of character growth and the animation is awesome. The concept is very original and the story line is great. The ending is very sad.

It starts off in the Freeze City (city of poverty and hardship) and wolves heading and searching for Paradise (Rakuen). The legend states that when the end of the world comes Paradise will appear and only wolves can find it. The anime circles around five main characters. And yes they are all young sexy male wolves. Kiba or Fang is the leader of the pack and his a total hottie. Kiba is more of enigmatic white wolf (full of wolf pride). Tsume a gray wolf is a rough and self-reliant fighter. Tsume pretty much keeps his feelings to himself. In the beginning these two alpha males do bump heads a lot. Hige a tan wolf who is more carefree and down to earth kinda of guy. On Hige's neck he has a collar with a symbol on it and he doesn't know how it got there. This is important piece of the puzzle as you continue the anime. Toboe the youngest of them all is a brown wolf. He wears a bracelet that his master (an old woman who raised him) given him. Toboe is rather friendly and protective toward the humans because of his old master. Cheza the Flower Maiden is the girl they need to find to open the door to Paradise. The maiden only responded to wolf's blood. Cheza has the ability to heal wolves with her song and touch. Cheza is made by Darcia from a moon flower.

The anime closes with all of them in their human form. Woot! Coming to the end of my review. Like I said in the intro I love this anime. I would like to say I want you all to watch it and love it as I did. I would give this anime an over all 8, 10 for story line and character growth, and 10 for the animation.

Fruit Basket was an awesome anime to watch. It was entertaining and fun to watch as the character grow. You will see how they build their friendship and fall in love and finding acceptance in this cold place we call home. If you are into animes that have fantasies, romances and drama in it then this is a must see for you.

The story takes place in a high school setting. This whole anime is built around the Chinese Zodiac chart (12 animals). Where most of the main characters are animals from the chart itself. The main cutey girl character is Honda Tohru. She became an orphaned after her widow mother died. Honda was put into her grandfather's care. Honda's grandfather move in with some relatives and his house had to go under renovation. Honda was forced to move into the Forrest/woods by herself. I don't know who in their right mind would let a child go live on her own (but it's a fantasy anime and thank goodness it's fiction). While living in a tent in the woods she comes across her school mates. Yuki Sohma was the first school mate that she saw in the woods and from then they became close friends. Yuki Sohma is a rat of the Chinese Zodiac. Yuki is depicted as a very charming and attractive young man who is adored and love by many. When Honda lost her tent/home, Yuki took her into his own home. Here she meets all the rest of the animals one by one from the Chinese Zodiac.

Honda also meets Kyo Sohma is a cat but not in the Chinese Zodiac. The legend says that the cat was tricked by the rat so therefore the cat never made it into the Chinese Zodiac. Kyo is depicted as a short-tempered and charismatic young man. He being not as charming or well liked as Yuki, has always been jealous of Yuki. He always picks fights with Yuki to try to prove that his better and more skilled in fighting than Yuki is. Funny though that Honda from the childhood stories that her mom told her, has always loved and felt sorry for the cat. Honda finds herself drawn closer to Kyo as he transforms into his true form.

This anime will make you tear up in two ways, one or sadness and another tears of joy. While watching this anime I found myself laughing at times, crying and even felt those tugs in the heart. I wish that they had continue with the anime but in order to finish the story one must read the manga. And no I didn't enjoy the ending in the manga. I did enjoy this anime and I would recommend for those of you who love romance and cutesy animes. I would rate this anime an over all 7 (because I didn't like the ending that much). I loved the song and I love the character growth. I also love the bonds that these colorful characters have built.

Cowboy Bebop is arguably one of the greatest anime of all time. A futuristic series set in a world a couple hundred years ahead of our own, where we follow four bounty hunters on their adventures. Just head to any anime convention, despite the series being nearly 10 years old you're sure to see cosplayers. But what makes this anime one of the best, what makes it so phenomenal, and my personal favorite. Characters, story, development, and subtly, this anime does exceptionally in all of these fields.

There are probably somewhere about 20+ characters in the show, and as much or as little as you are given about each of them, you still care to a degree. Spike, Jet, Faye, and Ed/Ein (Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Trivusky IV), are the four main characters, each with their own pasts and problems. Spike is our main character, a general outline of the accidental genius, who seems to be good at everything. His past with the Red Dragon Syndicate becomes one of the focal points of the story. His sleepy, and easygoing nature make him easy to like and as a character easy to enjoy.

Jet Black, cliché aside, Jet's a great character, a big guy, strong and stoic and normally the voice of reason, an Ex-cop, he does a good job of keeping Spike's antics in check. Jet's known as "The Black Dog" for his tenacity and often uses his old cop background to his advantage when chasing bounty heads.

Faye Valentine the beautiful seductress of the series with no knowledge of her past, and mysteriously massive debt. She drifts into the crew in the first few episodes and becomes a major part of the crew. Her love of materialism and things of that nature mask who she really is, and how she changes over the course of the show a she discovers herself and her past.

Ed/Ein are the crazy duo of a girl and her genius dog, Ed is a girl 13 years of age, created in the guise of Yoko Konno the music director for the series. Eccentric and animal like she's a genius at computer hacking. Ein is a dog found early on in the show that grows close to Ed and the two of them work perfectly together.

The story is very well done, each of the characters, and their interactions are done so subtly that at first it's hard to really know everyone's connection. Spike's past is the focus of the main story and is told through random small flashbacks over the course of the series. Each of the characters deal with their own pasts and histories over the course of the show, and the writers do well to introduce us to completely outside stories and characters. All the outside stories are still enrapturing and deep in their own right, some just downright heartbreaking.

All in all this is an amazing series, great characters, nice plot, amazing subtly in story and development. All of these reasons sum up why Cowboy Bebop is considered far and wide to be one of the greatest anime of all time. Check it out and enjoy.

Imagine what would you life be if you are able to see ghosts and spirits? Life wouldn't be normal now would it? Same goes for Kurosaki Ichigo, a 15 years old high school student whose life has been turn up side down ever since he can see ghosts and spirits. Living with his father, who owns the clinic below their living quarter, and two sisters who can also see ghosts but unable to communicate with them like he can. Not only Ichigo can see ghost but his friends/classmates, Orihime Inoue, Yasutora "Chad" Sado and Uryu Ishida. Not only that they can see ghost but together they fight along side with Ichigo when there's trouble. Now where does Ichigo got his power from? Its from Rukia who appear in the beginning and try to save him from a hallow, and according to him because of his high spiritual engery, hallow are after him and his family could be in trouble. So she ended up giving him half of her own power, but w/o intention he ended up have all of her power; therefore Rukia is forced to stuck in her backup body, which can be seen by human. As for Ichigo's friends, they each also has their own ability; for Inoue, her ability is to heal; Chad is to shoot engery from his armored arm ; Ishida is shooting spiritual arrows at his opponents through their chain link and soul sleep, depriving them of their powers and allowing him to win a bloodless victory.

Aside from all of the fighting along side with friends, Bleach is also about being their for friends through thick and thin and sacraficies your life if you have to help your friend, even though they don't want you to, or at least to my opinon.

If you haven't watch Bleach, I SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD/MUST IMMEDIATELY! ^^

So goes the first law of alchemy, the dominate science in the world of Amestris. For the Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, it's also the driving force behind their quest to reverse their abuse of it.

Fullmetal Alchemist follows the journeys of the Elric brothers as they discover the secrets of alchemy and continue to their ultimate goal: restoring their bodies to their original state after a forbidden human transmutation went horribly wrong. To accomplish this, they will need the one thing in their world that ignores all laws of alchemy, the Philosopher's Stone.

The viewer joins Ed and Al in the city of Lior as they work to discover the real source of a so called miracle worker priest. They realize early in the episode that the priest is no miracle worker, and they attempt to expose the phony father. The viewer is introduced to the daily lives of the Elric brothers as they encounter dangerous villains, and the extensive uses of alchemy in both everyday use, and its limitless uses in combat.

Following the two episode flash forward is a flash back to the start of the Elric brother's journey, and the new start of the anime. The Elric brothers delve into their past and their near fatal mistake that cost Edward an arm and leg, and Alphonse his whole body. Narrowly escaping death, Edward manages to save his little brother while keeping himself alive, only to stumble half-dead onto his childhood friend Winry Rockbell's doorstep. Winry and her grandmother get Ed and Alphonse sorted out, and Edward, now clad in his new Automail arm and leg, leaves his childhood home with Alphonse as they make their way towards Central, the capital city of the country. Edward's only leads towards the Philosopher's Stone requires him to become a State Alchemist, and join the ranks of the state military. They can only hope that they can live to finish their journey as they meet many enemies, gain new allies, and experience new adventures that lead them closer and closer to the Philosopher's Stone.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a great anime for anyone who loves a deep plot that has lots of twists, turns, and surprises. The Elric brothers sometimes find themselves questioning the morality of situations and ideas, as well as the forbidden practice of human transmutation. On the flip side, the humor in FMA is top notch, and you'll often find your sides hurting! This is one 50 episode anime that won't disappoint, and you'll try hard to find a place to stop at and continue later. In my personal opinion, I couldn't watch another anime until I found one this good, and only after lowering my standards a bit did I continue watching a steady series. You'll love FMA and everything about it, let's just say there isn't much not to like.

The world has entered the pirate era. Pirate King Gold Roger's last words before his execution have incited a countless number of pirates to seek out the last island of the Grand Line, the island of Raftel, where the Pirate King hid his greatest treasure, the ''One Piece''. The story of One Piece follows the story of a young man named Monkey D. Luffy, who dreams of finding ''One Piece'' and becoming the world's greatest pirate.

When he was young, Luffy was inspired by a pirate that used Luffy's hometown as a base of operations, ''Red Hair'' Shanks. Determined to become a pirate, Luffy constantly demands for Shanks to take him to sea, even despite the fact that he can't even swim. After Shanks has an embarrassing encounter with a local bandit, Higuma, Luffy loses faith in pirates, and also learns that he accidentally ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi, a rare Devil's Fruit that turned Luffy into a rubber man, and forever denied him the ability to swim. Several days later, when Shanks is out at sea, Luffy encounters Higuma again, and is kidnapped when he retaliates against the Higuma's insults towards Shanks. Higuma is about to kill Luffy when Shanks's crew returns. A member of Shanks's crew single-handedly demolishes Higuma's bandit group, but Higuma escapes to sea with Luffy. However, having escaped from the pirates, Higuma's luck turns, and he is eaten by a sea monster after throwing Luffy into the water. The sea monster is about to eat Luffy as well when Shanks miraculously appears and saves Luffy, sacrificing his left arm in the process.

After this event, Luffy determines to become a pirate by himself, gather a crew stronger than Shanks's crew, find the world's biggest treasure, and become the strongest pirate in the world. Just before his final departure, Shanks gives Luffy his favorite straw hat for Luffy to return when he becomes a great pirate. Luffy's story starts 10 years later, when he finally leaves his home in search of friends and adventure, and to achieve his dream of becoming the world's greatest pirate.

This Anime is pretty long and still continuing it is humoristic still keeping seriousness and adventure, with a extremely amazing story definitely an anime that would make you want to watch hours and hours straight and still making you go to sleep with “whats gonna happen next” in your mind
here it is hope you like it.

Forget the cutlasses, eyepatches, peg legs, and rum. Well, keep the rum. The anime series Black Lagoon is definitely not your younger brother’s One Piece.

Focusing on a band of modern-day pirates known as the Lagoon Company, Black Lagoon is a wild rollercoaster of a story and a visual treat.

As the series opens, Japanese salaryman Rokuro (later known as Rock) Okajima is traveling in the South China Sea, transporting a data disc for his company. Suddenly, his ship is raided by the Lagoon Company for the disc and he is forcibly taken hostage in exchange for company money.

Rock is then taken aboard a small torpedo boat, the Black Lagoon, and meets her crew. Dutch is the cool and composed driver of the boat, Benny is the quirky techno-geek, and Revy is the unpredictable and exceedingly deadly field operative. Dutch and Benny may be more forgiving but Revy already has her custom .92 Berettas begging for a piece of Rock. He can only hope his company pays the ransom but it has already decided his life is far less important than their extensive and surreptitious smuggling operation. Luckily for Rock, he manages to convince the Lagoon Company members that what he lacks in killer instinct, he makes up for with useful logic and intelligence. Soon enough they hire Rock full time and the adventure begins.

As the series progresses, the Lagoon Company takes on jobs for pay transporting goods for hire. Transport however is never easy for them. And that’s where the entertainment of Black Lagoon begins.

Although Black Lagoon is primarily episodic aside from a few mini-arcs, the other elements of it make up for any need of a linear story. The action sometimes borders on the ridiculous (look for the helicopter scene), but it is loaded with gleeful violence. The dialogue is another strong point. Unless you have virgin ears, there isn’t a point where a cuss word is used in the wrong place or in the wrong context. Revy in particularly is fluent in profanity with her zero to crazy demeanor which also leads to another theme in Black Lagoon: dark comedy. Despite all the bullets, sharp objects, and explosive ordinance, characters always manage to crank out the funniest lines.

Humor and action aside, Black Lagoon also has themes that are deeper than they appear. The dynamic struggle between different crime syndicates, the means by which one finds meaning in life, the blurry line between just and unjust, ghosts of one’s past, and several other elements.

Themes aside, if you’re to lazy to take note of them, you’ll appreciate the sadistic fun of Black Lagoon.

Inuyasha

Enter Kagome, an average cheery high school girl that lives with her mother and grandfather at their family-owned shrine. Little did she know that the wellhouse out back contained a gateway to the Feudal Era of Japan, where demons, mikos, and magic run wild. As she accidentally happened upon this well and found herself on the otherside of the gate, she meets the vile-mouthed Inuyasha. Inuyasha is half human, half dog demon. Unfortunately, Kagome is a silly twit, and ends up firing a magic arrow at a very powerful jewel called the Shikon No Tama. She inadvertantly shatters the jewel, sending the different shards scattering to different ends of the land.

Now, Kagome and Inuyasha embark on a quest to find these jewels and reunite the Shikon No Tama so that no demon might get ahold of it and use its powers for evil. The two meet a slew of favored characters such a lecherous monk named Miroku, or a spunky demon slayer named Sango. They meet MANY other friends along the way, along with many enemies as well, most notably the longstanding Naraku who seems to be the main orchestrator of all happenings with Kagome and Inuyasha's quests. Naraku being as devious as he is, already has many of the jewel shards in his posession and continuously uses Kagome and Inuyasha unknowingly do his bidding, such as corrupting a jewel shard, or destroying a troublesome competitor. Overall, while the characters are initially fun to meet and watch interact, the show ends up getting very repetitive. It seems as if almost every episode involves one of the major characters going into a long elaborate flashback with Kagome screaming about something. And also while the main story and continous vile trickery done by Naraku is very entertaining, MANY of the episodes tend to feature quite a bit of episodes that ends up VERY meaningless in the main story.

They usually learn nothing, and involves Inuyasha and/or Kagome solving a mystery in a village, or destroying a demon in some town. The fight scenes are severly lacking as well. The amount of potential they have built up is frustrating as your cliche swing, change scene, and character scream. It seems as if little, to no time is put into the actual physical abilities of the characters. Overall, I don't see how many people can like this show. Die Hard character fans seems to be the only other reason for liking this disgusting waste of potential.

Kenichi is an interesting story in which it follows the training of a young boy. Kenichi Shirahama was bullied during middle school where he got the nick name “Weak Legs”. Upon entering High School he tries to change his fate and joins the school's Karate club to learn karate. But Kenichi isn’t being taught but more like being used as a human training dummy. On his way to school one day he gets knocked down by a strange girl that just transferred to his school and some interesting things start to happen to him.

A student from the Karate Club in the same grade as Kenichi, but considered an upperclassman in the club despises him because he is weak. This causes Kenichi to be challenged by the upperclassman, the loser leaves the club. This is when the things begin to get interesting for him as the transfer student – Miu Furinji it getting into a fight with some street thugs. Kenichi tries to step in and protect her only to be saved by her. After seeing her fight, he decides he want to become stronger. Miu helps him by sending him to a dojo, the Ryozanpaku which in turn takes him as there disciple to train not by one Master but six and not in one discipline but six different Martial Arts. To make matters more interesting the dojo is Miu’s home. Kenichi trains and defeats his upperclassmen only to quit the dojo. This only adds fuel to the fire, the opposite of what Kenichi wanted. Now he is seen as being strong and is targeted by many rivals. A side from having to constantly fight different people, he is tortured during training with his six masters by there unorthodox method of training. With the incredible action scene, the comedy of watching Kenichi get beat up by his masters repeatedly; his growing attraction to Miu and her repeatedly beating him up. Not to mention his sister and other characters tormenting him throughout the series. This is a very good Anime and I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys watching the little guy becoming the big guy even though that is not his goal.

In the year of 2010 the empire of britannia conquered japan and striped japan of its rights, freedom and it was renamed area 11 and it citizens where renamed elevens.

After his father, the Emperor of Britannia, didn't prevent the assassination of his mother, an attack which also left his sister crippled and blind, the young prince named Lelouch vowed to destroy Britannia. Seven years later, living in Area 11, he encounters a mysterious girl who gives him the power of Geass. With it, he finally has the power that he needs to defeat Britannia and fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister can live happily.

Well, this series has a pretty good story,animation is pretty good and the character designs are okay(they are made by clamp and look kinda anorexic)but the thing i enjoyed the most about code geass is that it is fast paced series and the character relationships and development.

The anime does leave some questions unanswered about C.C and the really new character V.V(i think she appeared like in ep 24 or something)
like where do they come from?what are they? and how can they give the geass power to people?

D.Grayman is a shonen anime with a gothic fiction theme and is an adaption of a manga by the same name. It began airing on October 3, 2006 and is ongoing(has 78 episodes as of April 8, 2008). The plot of D. Grayman is mostly centered around the protagonist Allen Walker and his allies within the "Black Order"(an organization of exorcists). Together they battle the Millenium Earl and his army of demons(Akuma) using a powerful crystals called innocence that appear in many different shapes and forms(anything from a clock to an arm). This anime has a strong plot, very animated and interesting characters with their own backgrounds and issues, not to mention a very endearing hero with his own set of quirks. D. Grayman pulls in at an 8 on the grand scale of the "10". Definitely an anime to add to your belt if you haven't yet.

Seirei no Moribito

Seirei No Moribito opens with a luscious scenery of a country portrayed much like that of Feudal Japan. Introducing a traveling spear-wielding bodyguard named Balsa as the main character, the story kicks off with catastrophic accident with the carriage holding Chagum, the prince of the empire controlling the surrounding lands. Animators were seen to put alot of hard work and effort into the character's movements, expressions and actions. Balsa uses her seemingly bottomless prowess to save the Prince. Unknowingly though, she has sent herself spiraling into the middle of a chain of events that will undoubtedly change the fate of the land forever. This anime does an excellent job in realistically portraying many ways of Japanese life (without it actually being Japan). Adding a healthy amount of mystical effects, as well as a very nice dose of the best action scenes being portrayed in today's animes, you'll find Seirei No Moribito to be a very entertaining watch. With every attack Balsa thwarts, and every assassin she outwits, you'll have your face a hairs length from the screen in anticipation. 12 out of 10 for this anime :D.

It starts as Balsa (a spear lady from another country)is traveling to a Sword smith to have her damaged spear fixed. However before she gets to the sword smith she ends up saving a prince from drowning and ends up having to be a bodyguard for the young prince. The young Prince's father is trying to kill the prince for the sake of the country. The king believes his son is possessed by an evil spirit. Balsa who has taken a vow never to kill ends up facing the kings best warriors alone.

SO, it’s time to get back to the thing I love most…ANIME. For this week’s blog I bring you my review of “Utawarerumono“, English translation to “The One Being Sung“. DVDs were released last year and it is a must see for those of us who like any type of anime. Unlike so many other anime series of late, this one definitely leaves you with a sense of resolution. This series has to be one of the most complete I have seen in a long time. The ending is not finite, but there is closure. Utawarerumono has action, mystery inventive characters, a bit of romance and a well thought out story line.

The series begins with a man who regains consciousness from an odd dreamlike state only to find that he is wearing a metal mask that cannot be removed in a strange environment that he doesn’t recognize. He is approached by young woman named Erruru who has long furry, goat-like ears and a tail but otherwise appearing human. She explains that he’s been taken in by her grandmother Tuskuru, who is the local healer. Erruru is the eldest of the two granddaughters and is an apprentice to her grandmother. He has no memory of his past or his name. Though he is clearly of a different tribe, he is quickly accepted by Tuskuru’s family and ultimately becomes a pivotal member of the tribe. He’s is given the name Hakuoro.

Though a bit of a slow starter in the beginning, Utawarerumono is fraught with great hooks. Nothing is arbitrary. Everyone has a part to play and there is no frivolous back story. Soon the action begins and becomes for the most part nonstop with few lulls for set up. The lines of morality are deeply a part of the story as well as what truly bonds people. It has a natural blend of mystery and violence, which let’s face it, is what we all like in a good anime. And for the guys there is always the scantily clad femme fatales that should not be taken lightly. Since ratings matter I would give this anime a B+. I truly enjoyed this anime, however this was more of good story than an epic saga.

Trigun is the second anime I’ve ever watched and has remained one of my favorites ever since. Set in a lawless desert planet, it revolves around the maverick gunslinger, “Vash the Stampede.” Vash also happens to have $60,000,000 on his head as the most feared outlaw on the planet reputed to leave death and destruction in his path. It turns out, however, that Vash is a goofy, donut-loving peacemaker. Oddly enough, Vash still is one of a kind with unrivaled skills wielding a gun. Trigun follows the travels of Vash and two insurance agents sent to track him down in order to evaluate claims resulting from “his” ways.

On his journey, Vash inevitably runs into episodic characters misjudging him for a bloodthirsty criminal, spawning misunderstandings and comedic gunfights. Every episode, Vash has to draw his custom-made six shooter, yet he kills no one and only minorly injures them with amazing precision. Vash himself always has to come up with creative and hilarious ways to avoid bullets and the intention behind mechanical instruments made for killing is subverted. Slapstick humor is one of the greatest strengths of Trigun and simply makes the series fun.

Vash’s supporting cast, while not as intertwined with the plot as Vash, also bolster the series with unique personalities. Nicholas D. Wolfwood is an especially strong character. A priest packing a Vash-like idiocy and a full array of hidden firepower makes for an entertaining character. There is also more to Wolfwood than there appears to be.

In the background of each episode’s story, the tragic story of Vash’s past is gradually unraveled and the viewer learns that there is more to Vash than he is letting on. Vash’s past also has a major influence on the underlying plot that develops mostly towards the end of the series. Trigun takes a darker turn in later episodes with themes of moral dilemmas that put Vash’s pacifism to the test where saving lives isn’t as easy as not pulling the trigger. His beliefs are tested at their core by seemingly impossible situations setup by a group of individuals led by the evil Knives. Trigun is not just another spaghetti western. The seamless combination of profound themes with innocent fun makes for a great anime.

Jigoku Shojou Futakomori

Welcome back people, time now for another anime series review for your viewing pleasure. This week I bring you the series Jigoku Shoujo, or the English translated Hell Girl. This anime series is unlike some of the many ‘Shinigami” type anime that are currently out. There is a unique twist to this series which is a website that only becomes available at midnight. The website becomes a portal to the underworld, their only job is to take revenge on your behalf.

The series is a bit different than most in that each episode is of a different situation in where revenge is exacted for a variety of reasons. The main character is Ai Enma who is the revenge wielder. She dwells within the hell realm, living with her grandmothers and her faithful companions who travel to our world when a revenge is granted. The rules are simple, you may reach the site only at the stroke of midnight. You may enter the antagonist’s name on the webpage and Jigoku Shoujo will either appear or not, as only she may see fit. If she appears then you are given a doll with a red string around it’s neck, pull the string and the revenge is granted. However if you do pull the string you have to pay the compensation. The antagonist will be immediately ferried to hell, but a curse mark will appear upon the one who pulls the string and as they say, as one revenge is taken two graves are dug. Once you choose revenge you too will be ferried to hell upon your death.

All in all this is a very depressing series with one bad situation after another to watch and slit your wrists to. The character development is tortoise slow at best. I found the series difficult to watch and even more difficult to enjoy. The repetitive nature of the series is too much for this anime-kitten to handle. I don’t recommend it unless you are ready to be depressed for several hours. Thankfully it’s only 26 episodes long. I would give Jigoku Shoujo a grade of C. Although it is an interesting concept, it fails to keep you interested for much of the series.

Ah! My Goddess or aka Oh My goddess! is one of my most favorite animes of all time. It's a comedy, romance, and fantasy anime all rolled into one neat package. The OVA we have here is very interesting as well.

It starts off with a young, normal freshman named Keiichi. Keiichi tries to fit in with his upperclassmen in his dorm. The upperclassmen drafted Keiichi to keep watch over their place while the rest of the gang went partying. Because of his age, naivette, and good-natured character, Keiichi often becomes the one doing all his sempai's menial labor. By accident Keiichi calls up the Goddess Hotline while dailing for pizza. Yggdrasil, Heaven's computer system chose to grant Keiichi one wish because of his pure heart of gold, and to correct the imbalance of fortune and misfortune in his life. Belldandy a very sexy, cute young goddess answers the call. In a moment of jest, Keiichi wished for Belldandy to be his girlfriend. From then on, the story shows their wacky hijinks and their developing a deep, amorous relationship. And as they grow closer together, goddesses, demons, and other human beings come to try and separate them. There is rather a significant focus toward Keiichi being a member of the motorcycle mechanics club and racing.

Like most of you already know I am totally in love with this anime series. I would recommend it to all of you to watch it. You can watch the characters develop and grow, a lot of humours moments, and romance and fantasy is already a given.

Ah My Goddess is a romance/drama/comedy anime. This anime isn't like the typical anime though. Its a heart warming anime. Its more based around an innocent love. The couples are naive,have good intentions of each other and love each other very much. The only problem is they just are afraid to tell each other. Its one of those anime thats make you yell " KISS HER ALREADY!!!!" But everytime they lean in for a kiss something happens, interruptions, bombs, the guy turns into a girl u kno lol
the only problem was that it took a long time to develop that was the only problem with the anime but other than that i give it a 10 out of 10

Koi Kaze - Japan's Solution to Their Low Birth Crisis??

Despite policies to reverse the trend regarding Japan's low-birth rates and population crisis, the Japanese population is still in decline. With the economy in recession, women have opted to stay at work and forego marriage and family in favor of maintaining a certain level of living. Well, it takes two to make a child. Without cooperation from the women this won't be possible. In spite of government incentives (often financial) offered to make getting married and having children more attractive, there have not been enough affirmative responses by the target crowd to at least stabilise the birth/death ratio.

Japan's people are living longer lives. While this has been seen as a blessing in times past by Japan and many other cultures, it is viewed as a burden upon those who live in a nation that promotes and practices welfare. The source for that income, the young working class, eventually become elderly in turn, and because of low-birth rates there will not be enough replacements to meet a growing elderly population.

So what are the think tanks in government to do now? Immigration has been suggested, but the government as well as many Japanese citizens do not wish to have millions of non-Japanese thrust upon them. The Japanese are a proud people that strongly desire to preserve their culture and bloodlines. Many Westerners might view this as racist, but to nearly all Japanese it makes perfect sense. Why corrupt one's culture, tradition, values, and racial purity for the sake of having the next generation?

Enter popular media and entertainment to influence the people in saving their own nation from this crisis. What can mass media do to turn the Nissei attitude towards creating families? What hope can there be in print and broadcast to cause a turnaround in the number of low-births? It has been said that if current trends continue in Japan, there is a strong possibility that the Japanese will cease to exist as a people by the year 2050.

Now I come to my point regarding the movie you see up above. It is but a clip from the popular "romance" anime, Koi Kaze. It tells of a love affair between a man in his late twenties and his teenage sister. The story focuses on the issue of genetic sexual attraction, a condition where two people who are related but have been apart may find themselves attracted to each other more than if they were two complete strangers.

Is this Japan's solution to the crisis that threatens their ethnic existence? Is this the Japanese response to save their people from extinction -- to tiltillate their erotic leanings toward their next of kin?? Now that's sticking it "up the line"!!

Let us scrutinize the story a bit here. Saeki Koshiro, twenty-seven years old, is a hefty, heavy-set, socially-challenged and emotionally depressed slob of a man who has recently broken up with his girlfriend. Feeling down in the dumps about his latest love lost among other things, he happens upon a young high school girl aboard the train on the way home, unaware that she is actually his sister twelve years his junior. It is discovered later that their parents divorced shortly after Koshiro's mother gave birth to Nanoka due to an affair on the part of Koshiro's father. The next day they meet again, and go on a "date" of sorts at the amusement park after Saeki's boss gives him two tickets to go.

Well, they look like the oddest of couples as they walk together through the carnival fanfare. While riding the ferris wheel they open up to each other about their bad luck in love. Saeki breaks down and cries, Nanoka reaches out her hand to touch his oversized head (not that head, you pervert! but later...) in an effort to comfort him.

The author cleverly uses suspense and tension in order to justify and promote the couple's forbidden lust. Much care is taken to make readers ponder on whose side they are -- stand by one's own personal and religious convictions or applaud the ill-conceived couple in their perverted "love" for each other? Well, Nanoka and Saeki eventually consummate their relationship, with Saeki sticking his stinking willy up where the sun don't shine on his little sister. Even if Nihon mass-media were successful in cajoling the minds of its citizenry towards incestous actions, I do wonder how each couple would feel after committing such an act! Ah, but they don't tell you that, do they?

I guess this is payback time for the nations Japan had invaded and oppressed during World War 2. For decades Japan's students have been at the top of the international academic ladder. The Japanese people are just too smart for their own good--perhaps it's time to knock off a few dozen points from their IQ's. If mass media is successful in influencing a great many Japanese to marry and have children with their own next of kin, you can bet your genitals that a great many of those children will suffer from mental retardation, autism, or other deformities and medical conditions not found on children whose parents are not next of kin.

This is what I'll say to those Japanese men who still long for a good woman and a family. Why not immigrate to the United States? Lend us your brains, your work ethic, your ingenuity, and your genes. Heck, we need something like that to counter the growing crisis we have amongst minority ethnic groups here in America. And this is what I will say to those Japanese women who are still mired in their jobs, living under the tyranny of Mammon -- what will you do when you are old, and there are no children to console you, to assuage the lonely hours, to care for you as you would have for them?

I don't know about the rest of you, but even if there were a nuclear war that wiped out everyone but my sister and myself, the world would still end because there's no way I'm doing the nasty with my sister!
